Frequently standing or running around at work sometimes opt for less stylish solutions to our souls. The days of grandma, I mean ballet flats to work have changed. Clarks has recently produced Kaur approved heels for everyday at the office, that transitions nicely to evening date options. Although I have to sacrifice the stiletto heel, a chunkier heel will provide more comfort over the long day.

Versace for H&M ?!?!

Missoni for Target ?!?!

Karl Largerfield for Macy’s ?!?!

High quality products with signature looks that are comparable to their own designer trends that are wearable- well its a great feeling!

Why spend more when you can spend less and still look fine. Adapting the looks from desingers for less is a passion that I am using in my look all the time; constantly looking and wanting luxury and seeing what else is out there; it’s a little too deep. Ardenes Canadian retailer has many fashionable items that can also play a key role in winter months. Although quality is not cashmere, I give it shelf value for a year. A nice 5 -50 bucks spent at Ardene’s.

Pair these rib leggings with your favourite knit sweater or dress. A definite luxurious option to thin nylon leggings people get from Stitches or Suzy Shier.

Jersey Knit, I know the super light weight isn’t the best quality. But it’s cute and comfortable with the thick cable knit leggings and boots.  This is a layered look; However, I am still looking out for the perfect bomber jacket to make it complete. Long sweater or layers under, or possibly a denim jacket could work.

Don’t leave home without a scarf. Such romantic and feminine touches to this purple scarf is sweet. Love to own different scarfs; even going for animal prints would look fresh.

October 20th is now called Spirit Day. This was created by teenager Brittany McMillan earlier this month. Wearing purple is an attempt to get people to rally together and show support to youth who face bullying. Wearing purple October 20th is a community effort to support the bullied youth. It also honors those teenagers who have taken their lives in recent weeks. The color purple is worn because it symbolizes “spirit” on the rainbow flag, which is a symbol for LGBT pride.

GLAAD has made an application that will make Facebook and Twitter pictures purple in honor of the day. Many statuses also reflect similar sentiments, explaining what the day is and encouraging others to participate. I love purple, but on October 20th it gives special meaning. As inspiration, I have collected some of my favourite aubergine passion pieces.

Michelle Obama who often sports Narciso Rodriguez. Wear that purple girl.

Christian Louboutin. I’m Ready to Rock out.

To work with DVF I go, I think so.
